ETSU offers combined pharmacy and MBA degree
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) - East Tennessee State University has received approval to offer a degree option that includes the doctor of pharmacy and master of business administration.
According to the school, the Tennessee Board of Regents granted approval for the curriculum that enables students to pursue the two degrees concurrently beginning in the fall.
The curriculum was developed between ETSU's Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy and the ETSU College of Business and Technology. It should allow students to complete both degrees in four years.
Michael Crouch is executive associate dean for the pharmacy college. He said in a news release that students have expressed a lot of interest in the program. He said the program will give graduates a better appreciation of the business side of pharmacy.
