Police say a 40-year-old Ellisville man found dead at his home earlier this week died of blunt force trauma to the head.
Investigator Christy Carona says Robert Seymour had suffered several injuries when his body was discovered by relatives on Tuesday. Carona says Seymour was found behind his home.
Ellisville police responded to the scene shortly after 6 p.m. The state crime lab in Jackson performed an autopsy on Seymour on Thursday.
Police Chief Robert Russell said investigators believe Seymour died sometime between 10 p.m. Monday and 1 a.m. Tuesday.
Russell said no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
