Guilty Plea to Sex Crimes and Kidnapping
A 46-year-old Lucedale man has pleaded guilty to two counts each of sexual battery and kidnapping and is scheduled for sentencing on Oct. 22.
Daniel Wayne Hoven admitted Monday to holding two women captive and sexually assaulting them at a home in the Howell community on June 11, 2011.
Hoven fled the state after the incident was reported and was captured several days later in Alabama.
Sexual battery is punishable by up to thirty years in prison, with kidnapping carrying a maximum sentence of life in prison.
Hoven remains in the George County Regional Correctional Facility pending sentencing in the case.
