KY Youth Drowning

By news admin

The body of a teenage boy has been pulled from the Rockcastle River in Pulaski County.
The coroner said the death of 16-year-old Jesse Pratt of Mount Victory is consistent with drowning.
Coroner Richard New said Pratt was swimming with two friends on Sunday at Bee Rock. New said several witnesses said the youth jumped into the river and went under "once or twice" and then did not resurface. He had been under water for about a half-hour when his body was found.
An autopsy was being conducted by the state medical examiner's office in Frankfort.
