Knox County bomb squad detonates package

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Knox County Sheriff's Office bomb squad has detonated a postal package that appeared suspicious.

The Knoxville News Sentinel (http://bit.ly/11VbYdw ) reported a 911 call was placed from the post office in Farragut at midmorning and the bomb squad responded, blowing up the parcel.

The sheriff's office referred questions to the U.S. Postal Service.
