Pain Clinics Raided by Feds
Investigators raided two Chattanooga pain management clinics over the last two days and more clinics could be searched as part of an ongoing federal investigation.
On Wednesday agents could be seen removing boxes of medical records from Skyview of Chattanooga Pain Management. Another clinic, Primary Care and Pain Clinic, was also raided on Tuesday.
U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Special Agent Brad Byerley said the raids were the result of federal search warrants with officers from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Chattanooga Police Department and the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office assisting.
Byerley said a DEA diversion team monitors pain clinics, but wouldn't say what evidence led to securing the warrants or what was seized at the either clinic.
