Park officials plan prescribed burn in Smokies

GATLINBURG, Tenn. (AP) - Officials plan to burn 178 acres in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park to reduce the risk of an uncontrolled fire.

However, a controlled burn scheduled for Wednesday was postponed because of expected high wind gusts Wednesday night and Thursday.
