Police investigate report of needle in candy bag
WINCHESTER, Ky. (AP) - Police in Winchester say they are investigating after the parents of an 8-year-old girl reported finding a medical needle in her bag of Halloween candy.
Winchester police told WKYT-TV that they are investigating, but they think the incident was accidental and isolated. Police say the girl's parents took her to the hospital as a precaution. Neighbor Jennifer Parks says it's scary for the entire neighborhood and that many parents threw candy out after hearing about the incident. |
