Shooter Pleads Not Guilty
A Tishomingo man has pleaded not guilty in the shooting death of his cousin.
William Walden appeared in court for his arraignment on Monday. He entered his plea in front of Judge Jim Pounds.
The 22-year-old Walden is charged with the Jan. 20 shooting death of his cousin, 30-year-old Rosa Ables, at his mother's home in Golden.
Authorities say Walden allegedly shot his cousin, who was visiting from out of town, in the back with a twelve-gauge shotgun after the two had an argument over narcotics.
Since his arrest, Walden has been held at the Itawamba County Jail on a $1 million bond. He was indicted by the Itawamba County grand jury on March 13.
