Snow likely in West Tenn., chilly everywhere
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The first full day of spring is feeling a lot like winter in Tennessee.
A nine-county area of West Tennessee that includes the cities of Memphis, Jackson and Dyersburg is under a winter weather advisory. The National Weather Service says 1 to 2 inches of snow is possible in the region with the heaviest snowfall occurring Thursday evening.
The advisory is from 1 p.m. Thursday until 7 a.m. Friday.
Dawn temperatures Thursday included 33 degrees in Memphis, 24 in Jackson, 23 in Nashville, 18 in Crossville, 28 in Chattanooga, 25 in Knoxville and 23 in the Tri-Cities.
