Suspects Early Release Revoked
A judge in Newport has revoked the early release of an inmate who is now a suspect in a triple homicide.
The court found during a hearing on Tuesday that 43-year-old Adam L. Edwards had failed to abide by conditions of his release by not reporting to his probation officer. He was ordered to serve the remaining five-and-a-half years of his six-year sentence in a triple stabbing.
Edwards was granted early release last summer.
A special grand jury session has been requested to hear a murder case against Edwards and a second suspect.
The bodies of Sherman Ellison, Terri Henderson and their 2-year-old son, Riley, were found last month in their burned-out mobile home in Cocke County.
