TN Fire Dept. on Fire

By news admin

A middle Tennessee fire department has been hit by a fire.
Firefighters with Rutherford County Fire and Rescue had just left Station No. 3 after training Thursday night when they were dispatched to a fire there.
Fire Chief Larry Farley said one of the first volunteers to arrive opened a bay door and, despite the smoke and heat, started a fire engine and drove it out to safety.
There will be an investigation into the cause, but Farley is suspicious. He said firefighters have arrived at the rural station to find doors open in the past and he has concerns about the nature of this fire.
There were no injuries.
