Travel Agent Urges Booking Holiday Travel Now

JACKSON, Tenn.- The busiest long distance travel holiday of the year is approaching quickly.

According to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics about 91 percent of travel will be by personal vehicle.

That is not to say that airports will also be very busy over the holidays.
That is why officials say you are better off booking your trip as early as possible.

"Be prepared to travel if you haven't already made your plans. Definitely booking them in advance is the best way to do it but doing it right now, if you know you are going to be traveling for the holidays book today," said Brandon Battershell, travel agent.

Statistically more people travel on Thanksgiving Thursday.than on the Wednesday before.
