Vacant building burns in downtown Knoxville

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Fire has destroyed a downtown Knoxville building.

WVLT-TV the large blaze broke out Wednesday night in a structure that formerly housed Industrial Belting and supply on Depot Street.

Officials said the building was vacant and there were no injuries.

Several fire crews responded and used more than 280,000 gallons of water to bring the blaze under control.
