EAST JACKSON -- Here's a breakdown of the best of the best and social media.

Getting the most buzz on our Facebook page is the post about the fate of the historic Bemis Mill in South Jackson. Mayor Jerry Gist told community members on Wednesday that the mill would be transformed into a commemorative  garden.

Most clicked on this week was a story about an inmate who tried to escape from jail, but didn't make it very far. Lonnie Singleton was tased by Henry County deputies when he tried to make a run for his freedom during a booking for a burglary charge. Singleton now faces an additional charge of escape.
