Fire Department to Offer Free Fire Training
WEST MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. -- In honor of Fire Prevention Week 2013, the Madison County Fire Department will have an open house at the New Administrative Office Building on Sunday October 6th at 2:00 p.m.
The Department will also offer a free fire extinguisher training program for the public. The training will consist of both classroom and hands on training.
The course will last from 1 to 2 hours depending on the number of participants.
In addition to the hands-on portion of the training, students will also learn:
• How fire burns (the Fire Triangle)
• Different classes of fires
• Types and sizes of fire extinguishers
• How to inspect fire extinguishers
• Fire extinguisher operation (PASS)
The open house and fire extinguisher training will be held at the Administration and Fleet Services Building located at 2432 Technology Center Drive, Jackson Tennessee. Please call 731-424-5577 to secure your place in this free class.
