The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) and the Men’s and Women’s Basketball Coaches committee have announced the 2013 SIAC All-Conference, All-Academic Teams and Superlatives.
On the women’s side, Lane College’s Crystal Rayford, Katora Fleming, and Marrisa Stewart took home All-Academic honors with respective grade point averages in excess of 3.6 on a 4.0 scale. The Lane College Women’s Basketball team beat out all other teams in the SIAC in being selected as the All-Academic Team Champion by having the overall highest cumulative grade point average as a team.
Lane men selected as members of the SIAC Men’s All-Academic Team were Jeremy Whitmore with a grade point average of 3.578 and Shoquan Stephens with a grade point average of 3.31.
Student-Athletes receiving All-Conference, All-Academic, and Superlative honors were recognized during the SIAC Banquet in Atlanta last week.
