Liberty Baseball Player Headed to Bethel University

JACKSON, Tenn.-Bethel University has added another West Tennessean to its sports roster.

Liberty Tech High School's Clayton Parker signed today with the Bethel baseball team. The four-year starter plays second base and pitches.

Bethel coach Rusty Thompson said he is happy to have another young local talent joining his team next year and Parker said he was excited as well.

"Just the opportunity to play in college at the next level is just a huge honor to me and I can't wait to go out and work for them like i did for Liberty," said Clayton Parker, who signed with Bethel.

Parker will graduate from Liberty with honors.
