No. 4 Lady Vols opening season on road again
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The fourth-ranked Tennessee Lady Vols don't have to be reminded of how the post-Pat Summitt era began.
Tennessee was stunned by Chattanooga in its opener and the Lady Vols are once again preparing open to the season against an in-state opponent on the road.
Lady Vols center Isabelle Harrison says the Chattanooga game is "always in the back of our mind."
Tennessee visits Middle Tennessee on Friday before playing at No. 12 North Carolina on Monday. Last year, Tennessee fell 80-71 to Chattanooga in Holly Warlick's head coaching debut and won 71-54 at Georgia Tech two days later.
Tennessee beat Middle Tennessee 88-81 in overtime at home last year after trailing most of the game.
