Rivals meet in Division II-A West West Region Championship

JACKSON, Tenn. - The Lady Bruins of University School of Jackson are very familiar with their Division II-A West Region championship opponent. That doesn't mean tomorrow will be a walk in the park.

"St. George is well coached; it's going to be tough," said head coach Paul Conway. "We're gaining momentum and playing very well at the moment. We can't underestimate anyone at this point."

Despite holding off the Lady Gryphons to a 1-0 victory earlier in the season, USJ does not dwell on their last match.

"We know their team. They know us. They'll be pulling out what they can to stop us," explained junior forward Rachel Giampapa.

A victory over St. George is pivotal in the Bruins quest for three straight state championship titles. USJ's cruised to the Region Championship in a 5-1 victory over St. Mary's.

Tomorrow will be no different than any game all year for the Bruins. Their main goal is to focus on their game plan, and not the opponent.

"Our strength of schedule has prepared us well. We want to play an attack game tomorrow," said Conway.
