Titans celebrating No. 1 franchise designation
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - The Memphis Grizzlies are touting their honor of being named the No. 1 franchise in professional sports by ESPN the Magazine and wants fans to help them celebrate Tuesday.
The event will also include a ribbon cutting for the revitalized basketball court at Southside Park. The court was improved under the Grizzlies Healthy Home Court initiative that is intended to provide children with access to healthy options.
Fans of all ages are invited to the event, set for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. CDT at Southside Park in Memphis.
Expected to be on hand are Memphis Grizzlies coach Dave Joerger, assistant coach Duane Ticknor, guard Jerryd Bayless, guard/forward Quincy Pondexter, COO Jason Wexler, Memphis Mayor AC Wharton and others.
