Cast of New Faces in Milan

MILAN, Tenn. - It is no secret how laudable the Milan football program is. With a four state titles and multiple runner-up finishes, Milan continues to be a juggernaut in West Tennessee football.

This year presents an unfamiliar challenge though.

"We got new guys and graduated a whole bunch last year," said Milan Head Coach Jeff Morris. "One man's graduation is another man's opportunity."

The Bulldogs lost over 12 starters on both sides of the ball from last year's squad that finished as runners-up in the Class 3A Championship. In addition to those key losses, there are still numerous starting positions being battled for including the quarterback.

Although the pieces of the puzzle are still being put together, Coach Morris expects another commendable season this year.

"We have good football players. It's just a matter of who belongs where and making them better," explained Coach Morris.

The Bulldogs first test this season will be against Lexington, who is 27-3 in the regular season in the last three years.
