USJ hires Jack Peel
JACKSON, Tenn. - The University School of Jackson welcomed former Lambuth University Head Coach Jack Peel as the new leader of the baseball team.
Like any first year head coach, Peel understands the first season is always a difficult adjustment between coaches and players.
"I wouldn't know any of my players if they were sitting directly across from me," said Peel.
Integrity and character are principles that have always led to a positive outcome in Peel's career. For a majority of his career, the former Lambuth coach has been a member of winning teams and he expects the same from his first year unit.
"I want to to be known as a program that will fight you till the last out," said Peel vehemently. "If those guys are accustomed to working hard, we'll have a good start to getting off on the right foot."
Peel takes over a squad that won the 2012 Division II-A State Championship.
The Bruins are known for their very rich sports tradition, and Peel hopes he can add to that legacy.
