TRENTON, Tenn. - Trenton Peabody's football team has displayed their dominance on the gridiron all season. The Golden Tide has another advantage heading into the first round of the playoffs.

Their postseason action has already kicked off, sort of.

"It was a hard fought battle. To me it was just like a playoff game," said head coach Ricky Woods. "Both teams wanted to win. We won by about four inches."

Games similar to last week against Humboldt are perfect dress rehearsal before the playoffs, explained Woods.

Trenton jumped out to an early three touchdown lead on Humboldt. The Vikings clawed back, but only to lose 21-20.

This week, the Golden Tide host Hillcrest from Memphis in the first round of the Class 2A bracket.

"They can run, we can run. We're pretty much are a mirror of each other," said the first year head coach.
