Generals Game with Jacksonville Cancelled Friday Night

GENERALS NEWS RELEASE


JACKSON, TENN (MAY 3, 2013) – The scheduled game between the Jackson Generals and Jacksonville Suns, tonight at 7:05 p.m. has been cancelled because of rain and the heavy threat of rain in the forecast. The game will not be made up. The Generals will play the scheduled doubleheader with the Suns on Saturday, with first pitch of game one being at 4:05 p.m.

Any fan that had tickets to tonight’s game may exchange their ticket for another game during the 2013 regular season. The team autograph session scheduled for tonight has been cancelled as well. The next team autograph session will be on Friday, July 12. The Taijuan Walker poster giveaway scheduled for tonight will be given out to fans upon exit on Saturday night.

The Generals will start LHP Anthony Fernandez (0-0, 7.36) in game one and LHP Roenis Elias (1-2, 2.93) in game two. Jacksonville will start LHP Adam Conley (0-1, 5.14) in game one and RHP Robert Morey (0-0, 4.15) in game two.. Both games tomorrow can be heard on 96.5 ESPN Radio, TuneIn Radio App. and jacksongeneralsbaseball.com. The can also be seen on MiLB.tv.

Jackson is currently 12-15 on the season and is four games back of the first place Birmingham Barons in the North Division. Jackson and Jacksonville have split the first two games of the series.
