Richie Grant left Jackson in 1999 to take over the University of Memphis soccer program, but his love for the Lambuth campus brings him back every summer.
The Richie Grant soccer camp gives young soccer players a chance to experience drills and scrimmages at a high level.
Approximately 200 campers from Tennessee, Texas and California
will participate in the five-day event.
Coach Grant, a two-time C-USA coach of the year, told ABC 7 Eyewitness Sports he likes the Lambuth campus because it's perfect for hosting a residential camp. The players can walk from outdoor workouts to indoor soccer games and get plenty of rest between sessions.
USJ head coach Chris Leonardi played college soccer at Lambuth under Coach Grant. The two recalled memories from their time together at Lambuth.
