SGCHS Teacher and Coach Suspended
MEDINA, Tenn. – A teacher and coach at South Gibson County High School has been suspended.
According to Gibson County Director of Schools Eddie Pruitt, the South Gibson County High School boys soccer coach Kendall Bell has been suspended without pay pending an investigation. Bell is an inclusion teacher at the school and also is an assistant football coach.
Medina Chief of Police Chad Lowery said his department was not currently investigating any complaints concerning Bell.
Mr. Pruitt would not address what they were investigating or what type of complaints had been made concerning Bell.
During this time, other soccer coaches and school administrators are filling in to make sure the boys soccer team continues with their season as normal.
According to Pruitt, if Bell is cleared and no wrong-doing is found, the pay he would have received during his suspension will be reinstated.
