Neylon Signs with University of the Cumberlands

JACKSON, Tenn.- Former North Side star Jerry Neylon has decided to take his talents to the University of the Cumberlands.

Neylon was key part in North Side's 13-1 season last year.
Also in attendance at Neylon's signing was former Indian, Adam Craig who will reunite with Neylon as a Patriot next year.

Although his North Side playing days are over, Neylon said he will never forget the lessons learned there.

"I grew as a person. North Side they make you. Person that grows up. Help you through life opportunity responsibility, school, great teachers and coaches.", said Jerry Neylon, former North Side DB.

"Not only is he a good play maker. He can do a lot of things. Played defensive back, can also return kicks and receiver. We're going to put him at receiver to start. we want him to score points. hopefully he can do that at our place," said John Bland, Cumberlands Head Coach.

Neylon said he was thrilled to play for the Patriots and plans to pursue a physical education degree.
