After an already turbulent
season on and off the field, the
Lambuth Eagles football program
has received some good news.
In a press release by the NAIA,
it was announced that "Lambuth
University shall not forfeit its
game on October 24th where Johnathan Holston was allowed to
compete." With those words, the
Eagles are now 10-0 overall and
5-0 in the Mid-South Conference,
which makes them the MSC West
Division Champions.
When asked about the overturned
ruling head coach Hugh Freeze
said, "Obviously we're ecstatic
and thrilled for the kids. They
are 10-0 on the field".
The Eagles host Cumberland
University at L.L.Fonville Field,
Saturday. Kick-off is
at noon.
