Ditch causing house flooding in North Jackson on Gooden Cv.

Thanks a lot Major Harris!!

There is a ditch behind the houses on the right side of Gooden Cove in North Jackson. This ditch has never really been a problem until they built the new ball fields. The ditch I know extends at least from the ball fields through North Jackson and on. Now every time it storms it floods. There are all kinds of debris that gets caught under the road and causes the water in the ditch to back up into people’s yards and swimming pools. We have tried to get the problem fixed only to be told by the city it wasn't their fault because we are in the county and told by the county that it isn't their fault because it's coming from the city side of it. In the big flood we lost at least 8 foot, if not more, of our yard due to it flooding, we have probably lost another 5 this time. I wish they would just work together to fix the problem instead of playing the blame game. Some of it is in the city and some in the county. WORK TOGETHER PEOPLE!!! I give it a few more good storms and we will have a ditch at our back door. The sign in the picture, put up by someone unknown, speaks for almost everyone that lives in this area.
