Joseloff Gallery, Hartford Art School, West Hartford, CT, July 11-22, 2011 - Jackson artist and illustrator, Joshua S. Brunet, is graduating with his MFA in Illustration from the University of Hartford, West Hartford, CT. His thesis show is a series of eight paintings that celebrate the famous last ride of Casey Jones. Following his graduate show, Brunet plans to take his work to publishers as a 32-page children’s book.

Joshua S. Brunet is married and has three young children. He currently lives in Oakfield, TN and is the Director of Communications at Englewood Baptist Church. He is also an adjunct instructor for a design class at Union University. He does freelance illustration work for The Jackson Symphony, Trinity Christian Academy, and LifeWay’s Mature Living Magazine. Brunet enjoys figurative painting as well as historic imagery.
