Today June 18th there was a storm that came thru lexington and knocked out power to most of lexington for a few hours. The storm had winds up to 70 mph. Strait line winds ripped trees apart and down power lines. Lucky it came thru quickely and people started the clean up. No injuries reported. The video is of the storm as it hit lexington, its a video shot at beech lake 3 feet high waves and you can hear the roar of the wind as it tracked in from the north southward.
