THESE HORSES ARE LOCATED IN HARDIN COUNTY AND THE SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT HAVE HAD NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS BUT SEE NO SIGNS OF NEGLECT. STARVATION IS A SIGN OF NEGLECT BUT HARDIN COUNTY OFFICIALS DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. THIS COUNTY NEEDS SOME SORT OF ANIMAL HELP. THE POLICE DID RESPOND TO THE DOWN HORSE BUT FILED NO CHARGES WHILE THE HORSE REMAINED DYING WITH ITS HEAD IN THE MUD IN 99 DEGREE WEATHER FOR TWO DAYS. I SEE LOTS OF PROBLEMS WITH THIS ISSUE IT IS NOTHING BUT ANIMAL CRUELTY AND IT NEEDS TO BE STOPPED ASAP. THESE RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERS (AS POLICE SEE IT) HAVE AN EXTREME AMOUNT OF OTHER ANIMALS THAT WILL PROBABLY MEET THE SAME FATE.. JUSTICE AGAIN NOT SERVED !

Well, if I lived there I would just go and take those horses to a safe place and give them what they need..When laws are neglectful and do not serve any purpose but to allow further neglect, then, those laws are inadequate to say the least and that i

WTH IS WRONG WITH THE HUMAN RACE??? And maybe the Sheriffs should have just went ahead and SHOT these poor suffering creatures to put them out of their misery! How can anyone do this to an innocent animal???
says ... on Wednesday, Jul 13 at 1:02 PM
These same people had several horses and over 80 dogs seized 4 years ago, and police didn't file any charges then also, they were seen a few months ago dragging a dead horse down the road , again no charges. They must know all the right officials.

This wouldn't be a problem if Horse Slaughter was allowed to open back in the United States.
says ... on Wednesday, Jul 13 at 2:19 PM
John, I get where you are coming from but we had horse slaughter 4 years ago and the same thing was going on at this house. The problem here is irresponsible owners who don't need them but keep getting them. They are nothing more than animal hoarders
says ... on Wednesday, Jul 13 at 9:28 PM
I am interested in rescuing these horses. Can someone please give me the exact location of the animals? Also, I will contact the ASPCA and they will see that the horses are removed from the home. Thank you.

rodeodiva0724 - The horses are at Marshall Road and Liberty Road

If we all call and harass the mayor's office and the extention then surely they won't ignore us!! Together we can help these poor animals! UT Extension Office: 925-3441. Mayor's Office: 925-9078

The address is about 3912 Marshall drive , Morris Chapel TN. The mail box has been removed so that is sort of a guess, Police had them move the remaining horses because of all the complaints they were receiving, so God only knows where they took them
says ... on Thursday, Jul 14 at 4:07 PM
There is a couple of organizations trying to work with the police and remove the horses , but they aren't having much luck at this point. and they will just get more unless the police press charges this time. I am just tired of watching the suffering

True you don't need to neglect animals .And if you can't take care of them then give them away to a good home. I know these people and im from around the area. But you need to get all the true facts ! They never had 80 dogs to be seized .
says ... on Tuesday, Jul 19 at 7:21 AM
I also know these people they did have a horse that was a little to skinny the other 2 looked fine. These people don't neglect the animals and they never had 80 dogs taken get a life just in case you dont know trespassing is also against the law
says ... on Tuesday, Jul 19 at 10:04 AM
This is neglect!!! And abuse!! something needs to be done...I hope this is on the news. Law officers are here to PROTECT & SERVE!!
says ... on Tuesday, Jul 19 at 10:07 AM
say these animals are taken care of , pictures don't lie, people can see the neglect for themselves. these are sorry excuses made for sorry a** people.
says ... on Tuesday, Jul 19 at 10:17 AM
WHAT is wrong with the people in Tennessee? This is a total outrage! My God? I bet their owners eat good. Why won't the sherrifs office do their job? Isn't this illegal? Must be a bunch of good ole boys up that way?
says ... on Tuesday, Jul 19 at 10:33 AM
This is just sick - and unfortunately not the only time this has happened. Why wont the humane society or SOMEONE in authority step in? What ARE there for anyway??? Animal cruelty and neglect needs to STOP NOW.
says ... on Wednesday, Jul 20 at 9:46 AM
I had to help with relocating the animals 4 years ago, and I do know from fact there were over 80 animals, mostly dogs that were seized. You would have to be an idiot not see obvious signs of neglect in these photos ?
says ... on Wednesday, Jul 20 at 10:56 AM
I agree that animals need to be taken care of properly but if you don't have all the facts you shouldn't assume you know the whole story. The horse had hay and water, for all we know, it could have been a snake bite that made it sick, not neglect.
says ... on Wednesday, Jul 20 at 11:01 AM
There were never 80 dogs. Thats nowhere close to the truth. Everyone is assuming that they know everything because of an artical they read. Have any of you ever heard the saying, "you can't believe everything you hear."???
says ... on Wednesday, Jul 20 at 11:38 AM
Apparently wildwest joker knows the facts . Lol ! He or she has changed their story twice. One time it was 80 dogs. Then it changed to 80 animals dogs and all. Know your facts !
says ... on Wednesday, Jul 20 at 3:17 PM
obviously wild west joker is a joke they are changing the story over and over they have no idea what they are talking about and anything could have been wrong with the horse in other places they said the horses had hay and water make up your mind
says ... on Wednesday, Jul 20 at 11:49 PM
Look Folks I live in Hardin County and this place is not a good place for animals period! There is NO COUNTY ANIMAL CONTROL or WELFARE HELP AT ALL!!!!!!!!! I have personally rescued over 40 horses the past 2 years in this area .....
says ... on Wednesday, Jul 20 at 11:51 PM
There is nothing we can do here in this area but try to educate the owners of the animals... but even that is hard because most don't think they are doing anything wrong! :-( We need HELP From the ASPCA an USHS BADLY! Please won't some one help us?
says ... on Thursday, Jul 21 at 6:33 AM
well good gracious, unknown and know the facts , LOL you must be the pathetic excuse for owners, because who else would defend these low life losers, I said over 80 animals and the fact is it was 88 total, 80 k9, 8 equine. so F***you!
says ... on Thursday, Jul 21 at 6:39 AM
also for your info, snake bite don't make a horse starve. no food was the cause, and no shade and hot water to drink. I am far far more medically experienced about animals than you know , so if I was you I would shut your uneducated mouth.
says ... on Thursday, Jul 21 at 6:46 AM
These horses were in such poor living conditions a snake probably wouldn't even live there, do you know horse serum is used in snake anti venom , so stop with your lame excuses. You sicken me and every one else who cares for the welfare of animals.
says ... on Thursday, Jul 21 at 7:30 AM
once again I will say I know these people they have never owned 80 dogs you idiot how can you say how educated you are when you cant even count
says ... on Thursday, Jul 21 at 7:48 AM
Well I don't know how educated you think you are but when I went to school 88 was over 80, maybe where you attended was different. and there were more dogs that didn't go cause Dottie felt sorry for the kids, so do I living in those conditions.
says ... on Thursday, Jul 21 at 7:54 AM
you should check out " Shady acres how to condition score horse " and see on a scale of 1-10 where did this poor dead horse rate, maybe it will help people understand what a healthy fed horse is suppose to look like.
says ... on Thursday, Jul 21 at 11:17 AM
Are you reporting that an animal is in imminent danger? Do you know specifically where to find this animal, and is the abuse or danger taking place right now? If so, please call your local police department. If the police are unresponsive, please cal

says ... on Friday, Jul 22 at 7:42 AM
I am going on a much needed vacation, But I wanted everyone to know these pictures and statements made by me are all True, and any post defending these people are being made by the owners to try to cover their butts. These pictures tell it all !
says ... on Friday, Jul 22 at 10:25 AM
I was one of the deputys who went to this address. Dont worry they will be kept an eye on and charged if this happens again
says ... on Friday, Jul 22 at 2:14 PM
Omg, I know the woman who lives there, I am disgusted with this. I didn't have any idea she could let this happen and the kids go to school with mine, Very sad , poor animals , my heart goes out to them.
says ... on Sunday, Jul 24 at 1:15 AM
look up TENNESSEE CODE TCA 39-14-212 This behavior is a class c felony. look up TCA 40-7-109 through 40-7-115 which states a PRIVATE person can arrest this person, and even break into home to arrest. I urge all in this county do so now!
says ... on Sunday, Jul 24 at 1:16 AM
If I were in this county I would hog tie this person, send him to nearest judge and demand he be placed under arrest under that TENNESSEE law I have quoted, Go ahead anyone in law enforcement try to debunk this LAW.
says ... on Sunday, Jul 24 at 1:14 PM
I know exactly where these horses were located, I myself had placed calls trying to have them removed. It is ridiculous that no charges were made and from the looks of the place they could most likely be arrested for more crimes. Remember @ Election!
says ... on Tuesday, Jul 26 at 7:34 AM
are these the horses on the road that goes to white oak? if so they need them taken away, there is a donkey that is always in the road and dogs everywhere, and the horses always look awful. the place looks abandoned.
says ... on Tuesday, Jul 26 at 6:55 PM
Yes it is those horses, We drove by there last Friday and the horses were gone. I don't know what happened to them. There were 5 pure bred dogs in the road. the dogs didn't look too bad .we threw them some food because they wouldn't move out the road
says ... on Wednesday, Jul 27 at 11:40 AM

says ... on Wednesday, Jul 27 at 11:42 AM
ii am so glad im not orginally from this area
says ... on Friday, Oct 7 at 4:10 PM
Can you believe it !!! They have more horses behind their house. I wonder how long it will take them to starve them while Hardin county officials do nothing on their full stomaches ! Makes me sick !! just goes to show it all depends on who you know
says ... on Friday, Jul 20 at 1:01 AM
I retired to Hardin Co. and can hardly believe the amount of animal neglect and abuse. In the county there is no one you can call for help. Its very sad to see.
says ... on Thursday, Oct 11 at 1:12 PM
I know I am late coming to the party, but I just found this site. To Just saying - The horses in the pictures are not "a little skinny" they are VERY Skinny, and the one laying down is dying because, horses don't lay down like that.
