After a long day of cleaning up roads and helping my neighbors I took a drive out of boredom. The power has been out for well over 20+ hours and won't be back on until sometime this weekend. I decided to explore in about a half mile in either direction of my apartment at the crossing of presley road and hwy 104 south. As you can see, considerable damage in this area. Hwy 22 is backed up for miles in either direction due to the maintenance crews trying to get power back up and going. It's not a simple fix of connecting a few wires. Most poles are completely severed, splintered, if not outright missing. No injuries or deaths that I know of but plenty of families without power, and a few without homes.
