Every Thursday night the Jackson Area Plectral Society holds their weekly Open Oldtime Jam. It's free and everyone's welcome to join in, or just watch. The purpose of the Society is to promote and preserve oldtime string music. You never know who might show up? Shown in the video are National Banjo Champion Kurt Stephenson and former Bill Monroe fiddler Wayne Jerrolds.
