Free Community Gardening Workshop

The first day of spring is tomorrow, and that means it's time to think about your garden. Are you going to grow a garden this year? How do you get started?
To kick off the growing season, John and Anni from The Best Gardening will be presenting a free Gardening Workshop for the community this Saturday, March 23rd. The workshop will take place at a local church in Jackson, Tennessee from 10 am to noon.
They'll be covering the basics of gardening, including:
• Starting from seed
• Types of soil and how to improve them
• Making your own compost
• Benefits of mulching
• Gardening organically
• Watering the right way to grow strong, healthy plants
• Maximizing production with light
As well as a few other topics of interest, such as:
• Companion planting
• Container planting
• Living soil systems
• Permaculture/Food Forests
Healthy refreshments will be provided free of charge at the end of the workshop.
