Kentucky Teen Kills Parents Over Grounding

The state medical examiner’s office says a south-central Kentucky couple whose bodies were found in their home were shot to death. Family members say the 15-year-old charged with killing them had been told he wasn’t allowed to see his 12-year-old girlfriend.

Kentucky State Police on Wednesday charged the boy with murder in the deaths of 50-year-old Gary Holloway and 51-year-old Barbara Holloway at their home near Edmonton, a rural area more than 100 miles south of Louisville. They were the boy’s guardians.

Police had issued an Amber Alert for the 12- and the 15-year-old after a relative discovered the Holloway’s bodies Tuesday, fearing they might be in danger.

Police said Wednesday preliminary autopsy results showed Gary Holloway died from multiple gunshot wounds and Barbara Holloway died of a single gunshot wound.
