LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) – With gold wax in place of the trademark red covering the top of its bottle, Maker’s Mark has unveiled its latest commemorative bottle. This one honors Keeneland’s 75th anniversary.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) – A Bowling Green tea party group has endorsed Louisville businessman Phil Moffett in the GOP gubernatorial primary. Paul Keith, chairman of the Bowling Green Southern Kentucky Tea Party, says Moffett best represents the values of fiscal responsibility, limited government and free markets.

LEBANON, Ky. (AP) – The central Kentucky city of Lebanon will be getting a few dozen new jobs when a company that supplies the auto industry completes a new facility there. Gov. Beshear’s office says the PDCI Automotive facility will focus on converting and die cutting soft and semi-rigid material for automotive applications.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) – The 137th Kentucky Derby is still five weeks away, but the solid gold trophy that the owner of the winning 3-year-old will take home that day is arriving in Louisville today. The winner’s trophy is created by New England Sterling of Attleboro, Mass., and company president Marc Forbes will hand deliver the 14-karat handmade trophy to Churchill Downs.
