UK To Announce President Finalists

University of Kentucky trustees may be handed a list of finalists for the school’s presidency later Monday.

A search committee is scheduled to meet Monday on the Lexington campus to review candidates in the running to replace outgoing UK President Lee T. Todd Jr.

UK Board of Trustees Chairman Britt Brockman has said he hopes the search committee will narrow the field to a list of possibly three to five finalists Monday.

The trustees make the final decision in hiring a successor to Todd, who has led the state’s flagship university for a decade.

The university hopes to hire a new president in early May. Brockman has laid out a tentative timetable for a preferred candidate to visit campus on May 2 for a series of public forums.
