Power Companies Make Priorities

As utility crews around West Tennessee scramble to restore services following Tuesday’s storms, leaders with the Jackson Energy Authority urge customers to ‘keep calling’. JEA leaders say customer feedback is crucial to helping them pinpoint where outages are still present. Managers suggest that customers call at least once a day after storms, if they are experiencing an outage. At one point after Tuesday’s storms JEA says about 7,000 customers were without power. Today that number is down to 200, mainly in the Bemis area, according to documents. Crews say major lines and substations have been restored, however.
