After tornado warnings were issued across many parts of West Tennessee Tuesday night, Chester County took the hardest hit from the storms. Emergency Management Agency officials say the eastern part of the county as well as Chickasaw State Park encountered the most damage. Crews are still working to restore power for many people in the county after trees and power lines were knocked down by the strong winds. One man experienced the storm first hand as he was driving home from work. “First the lightning and then the hail and then the trees coming across highway 100 and then hitting power lines putting the electricity out,” said Richard King of Chester County. The Chester County EMA says no injuries were reported in the area, though a few homes were damaged by falling trees.
