Conger Defeats Neudecker for District 5 Seat
A closely watched race in Jackson’s City election on Tuesday was in District 5 in West Jackson, where often controversial incumbent Frank Neudecker lost his seat to Scott Conger, who received 341 votes, compared to Neudecker’s 165. ABC 7 Eyewitness News spoke with Conger about his plans when he takes office. “First two things that I’m going to look at are the juvenile curfew ordinance and take a look back at the pet ordinance and may take steps to see if we can do to have humane treatment of animals in our city,” said Scott Conger, District 5 Councilman-elect. At 27, Conger will be the youngest member of the Jackson City Council.
