Man Wanted in Bolivar Stabbing

The hunt is on in Bolivar for a man suspected for stabbing another man in the chest with a butcher knife. Bolivar police said Jerry Lee Bowers is wanted on a charge of aggravated assault in connection with the Tuesday morning stabbing at a home on North Union Street in Bolivar. “Alcohol probably was a strong part of this situation and during the argument, he was cut by J.L. Bowers,” said Chief Bill Irons of the Bolivar Police Department. The victim was reported in good condition at The Med in Memphis.
