Haywood Co. on the Lookout for Thieves

Haywood County investigators say a group of suspicious workers are going door-to-door in some neighborhoods offering to ‘pave or seal driveways’. However, when they leave, investigators say numerous items are being reported missing. Authorities tell us that power tools, truck trailers, and lawn equipment have all been reported missing from Haywood, Crockett, and Madison Counties. Officials suggest if anyone shows up to your door unannounced, offering these services, contact authorities to make sure they are legitimate. Below is a community message, issued about the alleged thefts: “Community Message has been issued by the Crockett County Sheriffs Department. Wednesday May 11, 2011 2:33 PM CDT These suspects are leaving business cards in the area of Hwy 70/79 at the Haywood / Crockett Co line. Cont. Suspects wanted for questioning in Thefts. Haywood Co. had several trailers, 4-wheelers, mowers & lawn equipment stolen. These thefts started around the first of May 2011. Haywood Co. is looking for 2 vehicles. (1) 2004-06 White Ext Cab Chevy/GMC PU 4×4 will have Mississippi tags. (2) Late 90’s Model Regular Cab Short Wheel Base White Chevy PU will have Mississippi tags. These suspects are leaving business cards in the area of Hwy 70/79 at the Haywood / Crockett Co line. Two different names of paving companies are on these business cards. Patriot and Guaranteed Paving. The name of the person on these business cards is Daniel Sheehy. This person has a history of theft in Mississippi.
