Man Arraigned in Counterfeit Seizure

The man arrested in a raid on a west Jackson store suspected of selling counterfeit clothing made his first court appearance. The owner of Keita Fashions on Old Hickory Boulevard was officially charged with criminal simulation over $10,000. The bond for Mamabiu Keita, 36, was set at $10,000. According to Jackson Police, ICE has also asked that Keita be held until an agent can speak with him. Records show Keita has previously been convicted of the same crime in Madison County. So far, no one has been arrested in the raid at the store on North Royal, however, Jackson Police said they do expect charges to be filed soon.
