Medina Police Chase Car on Camera
A Gibson County man sends Medina Police on a high speed chase and ultimately ends up crashing into a ditch. Police pulled over being pulled over Michael Stoltz yesterday evening after being called out to a domestic incident. Video of the chase shows as Stoltz speeds away from the scene sending officers chasing after him through back roads. He side-swiped one vehicle as he turned onto Annie Russ Road. In the end Stoltz loses control and flips his car into a ditch. “Pursuits are very dangerous. We have to determine if capturing the suspect outweighs the harm of the public, knowing that the suspect was armed with a knife and had just committed an aggravated assault, we definitely wanted to take him into custody,” said Medina Police Chief Chad Lowery. After searching his car, police say they found a knife and several beer cans in the back seat. Stoltz suffered minor injuries from the wreck and remains in Gibson County custody.
