Man Hiding in Dumpster Charged in BK Attempted Robbery

A middle Tennessee man, who crawled out of a dumpster Saturday night after being cornered by a police dog now stands charged with trying to rob a south Jackson restaurant. Brandon Phillips, 22, of Centerville was officially charged with attempted aggravated robbery, Monday. His bond was set at $75,000 dollars. Police said just after 9:30 Saturday night, Phillips walked in to the Burger King on South Highland and demanded a worker give him the money from the cash register. Minutes later, Phillips was found hiding in a nearby garbage dumpster. His court date is June 2.
