Deputies with the Hardeman County Sheriff’s Department responded to an early morning home invasion call in the 100-block of Pearl Road in Grand Junction, Tuesday. “At 5:00 a.m. this morning the Hardeman County Sheriff’s Department received a call of an home invasion with shots fired,” said Sheriff John Doolen of Hardeman County. Laporsche Harris said she and her boyfriend were sleeping when two gunmen disconnected the electricity from the home, barged in and ordered her and her boyfriend to the floor. She said they then ordered her boyfriend to pray aloud. “A shot was made, they made it the the middle of the floor another shot was made,” said Harris. Harris said her boyfriend was shot in the leg, neck and head. “Right now I think we have a pretty good plan as far as searching the residence. This morning we entered on the owner’s consent and we took basic pictures, we came back with a search warrant just to be covered,” said Sheriff Doolen. The victim remains hospitalized, but is expected to make a full recovery, according to investigators.
