Area Airports Receive Aeronautics Grant

The Tennessee Department of Transportation announced federal and state grants totaling almost $5.5 million for eight airports, three of which are here in West Tennessee. Beech River Regional Airport received $330,000 to make repairs to its erosion control system, the Carroll County Airport received $200,000 for hangar upgrades and $192,000 will go to McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport to repave and seal concrete strips in front of and around airport hangars and the terminal building.
