Edick Found Guilty of Multiple Sex Charges
A verdict has been handed down by a McNairy County jury in the child rape case for Jeremy Edick. Jurors found Edick guilty of felony rape of a child, two counts of aggravated sexual battery, solicitation of rape and exploitation of a minor by electronic means. Authorities originally indicted Edick on the charges back in February of this year in connection with what they call the repeated abuse of a young child in Selmer from March 2006 through December 2008. She was seven and eight-years-old at the time. Edick returns to court for sentencing on July 22. He could face up to 70 years in prison.
